Joseph J. Sitt is CEO of Thor Retail Advisors and President & CEO of Thor Equities, a global real estate leader. Thor Equities owns prime property in the United States, Europe and Latin America, with a $10 billion portfolio and development pipeline totaling more than 20 million square feet.

Mr. Sitt is also Chairman of TOWN Residential, Chairman of Thor Urbana Mexico, and Chairman and Managing Principal of Thor Urban Property Funds.

Mr. Sitt serves on the board of the Real Estate Roundtable in Washington D.C., the Department of Real Estate at Baruch College, and is a member of the Partnership for New York City. He also serves on the board of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation. He is a managing director of Venetian Heritage, which works to restore the Jewish museum and ancient synagogues of the Ghetto of Venice. Mr. Sitt is also Chairman and Founder of Global Gateway Alliance, a non-profit organization established to address the major challenges facing the New York-New Jersey region’s aging airport system and related infrastructure.

He was awarded the 2014 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, and has been named by the New York Observer in its annual list as one of the Most Powerful People in New York Real Estate. Harvard professor Michael Porter and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) have also honored him for his commitment to fostering healthy competitive business conditions and new opportunities in inner city neighborhoods.

Mr. Sitt founded women’s clothing retailer Ashley Stewart, expanding the company to 380 stores in over 100 cities. Its phenomenal growth prompted many national retailers to take notice of opportunities in the urban marketplace. In 1998, he decided to divest his interest in Ashley Stewart and focus exclusively on Thor Equities.

Dan N. Harroch is a Senior Vice President at Thor Retail Advisors. Mr. Harroch specializes in strategic real estate solutions for global retailers. His expertise includes providing individually developed leasing campaigns, from site selection and lease negotiation to dispositions, delivering optimal solutions for his clients. He implements complex, multi-city retail plans in a variety of asset classes including luxury and high street storefronts, showrooms, malls and outlet centers.

Mr. Harroch has worked closely with numerous retailers in their expansion across New York City, throughout the United States and internationally. His clients include LVMH, Kering, Levi’s, All Saints, Gant, Theory, Inditex Group, Schutz, Caché, Track & Field, Tincati Milano, Benetton, Richard Mille, Philipp Plein, Aurelie Bidermann, Balmain, Sushishop, IRO, Isabel Marant, A. Testoni, Laduree, Macklowe Gallery, Kanye West, Frey Wille, Paule Ka, Opera Gallery, Orianne Collins, PHILLIPS, La Martina, Serafina, Soulcycle and Citibank.

He has also represented many institutional landlords including The Carlyle Group, Macklowe Properties, Acadia Realty Trust, Highgate Holdings, Lehman Brothers, Empire Capital, UBA Equities, Mercer Sunshine, Venture Capital Properties and Gould Investors.

Prior to joining Thor Retail Advisors, Mr. Harroch was a Managing Director with PBS Real Estate. He is a native of Monaco and has lived in Paris, Tokyo and China, giving him a sophisticated knowledge of global business centers as well as high-level connections in the international fashion and retail industries.

Mr. Harroch is a graduate of UPMC and ISG Paris with Masters in Business and Mathematics. He is fluent in both English and French, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Board of New York. He has recently been consulting with Harvard Business School to develop business cases on retail development for luxury tenants and commercial real estate.

Laurence Karsenti is Head of Retail Leasing at Thor Equities affiliate Thor Retail Advisors. Ms. Karsenti is based in Thor’s Paris office at 101 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, where she is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s growing European leasing business.

Previously, Ms. Karsenti was Head of Retail and Partner at Knight Frank in France, where she represented such leading companies as Maje, L’Occitane, VF Group, Thor Equities, Generali and AXA. Specializing in high street retail, she has leased flagship stores for top brands including Uniqlo, Pret A Manger, Zara, Kipling, Rimowa, Opera Gallery and 7 for All Mankind.

At Knight Frank, Ms. Karsenti also advised investors for their leasing and capital market needs. Her clients included Thor Equities, Ponte Gadea, Invesco, BMO, and CBRE Global Investors.

Prior to joining Knight Frank, Ms. Karsenti was a senior broker at Jones Lang LaSalle. She has a Master’s Degree in business from Paris Dauphine University.

Payal Doshi joined Thor Retail Advisors in July 2015. As a member of the leasing team, she works on both landlord and tenant representation. Ms. Doshi combines her real estate knowledge and expertise in retail and design to develop customized retail competition landscapes, phased retail roll-out plans and targeted site selections for clients, as well as conduct lease analyses.

She also specializes in incorporating retail market trends, demographic information, pedestrian traffic counts, and individualized commuting patterns to develop comprehensive expansion plans for global retail brands including OVO, Uniqlo, Theory, Golden Goose, L’Occitane and Schutz, as well as many e-commerce companies.

In addition, she helps institutional landlords maximize value by identifying emerging brands as well as non-traditional retailers that are well suited for select properties. Her clients have included Clarion Partners, Delshah Capital, Madison Equities and Moinian Properties.

Ms. Doshi is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. Prior to joining Thor Retail Advisors, she graduated from the University of Michigan with Honors concentrating on design and entrepreneurship.
